Connie, I loved the line Rick quoted and I loved that you reinforced it at the end! βIβm learning that being multifaceted isnβt about doing it all. Itβs about honoring the strengths that keep surfacing, the ones that feel like a compass pointing me back to myself.β
Those strengths and the compass pointing back to ourself is about listening to what is true inside us.
I love that image of me grabbing you (and your black sharpie) and squaring you off in a direction before letting you go again. and btw - I am Pisces Rising...so I get you girlfriend!
Keep posting, on a schedule. We want to read what you have to say.
I'm literally sitting here taking notes about the tree guys doing some work for us in the yard this weekend. They are masters at their craft! Stay tuned!
Tree guys are brilliant! I've watched them in their harnesses trimming the giant tree outside our window (in our prior residence - a 2nd floor apartment we lovingly called "the treehouse" because the living room windows looked out on the tree and made it feel like we were IN the tree).
"Our strengths are like a compass. They point us in the direction that feeds our soul with ease, and they carry us through the bumps in the road." Heck yes! Conversations, curiosity, and connecting, with people and ideas. I can play in those spaces all day long and never feel drained or burnt out.
This made me smile so wide! I emulate crazily too! My handwriting used to change based on the person sitting next to me in school/college. My accent/the way I speak changes if I'm speaking to someone for a few weeks! I used to think of myself as a chameleon lol. But it is my strength isn't it?! Damn Connie! Thank you for this!
My pleasure Shruthi π Thank you for sharing your connect! I didn't even realize this strength until I was writing this piece and it came into my awareness. Writing the unfolding is pure magic β¨
